I have been researching on my debate topic and i have concluded that:
There are two kinds of stem cells: Adult and Embryonic
The major source of stem cells for research today is embryos, and the embryos are destroyed in the process of extracting the stem cells.
-Adult stem cells come from people who have already been born. Sometimes they freeze umbilical chords, and then use them when the patient gets cancer. They have been proven to be very effective and safe.
-While embryonic stem cell treatment involves the deliberate killing of a human being in order to use his body parts to treat another human being.
Your body produces billions of new cells everyday, it is not always able to produce the right kind of cell to replace or fix those damages caused by injuries or diseases. Stem cells are the perfect way to solve this problem. It's also been proven to be possible that stem cells can grow to develop new liver tissuse, heart valves, and to reverse the affects of diabetes.

Argument Points.
Con: Conducting Research on Stem Cells is Unethical.
- When a baby is born, they will cut the cord, freeze them, and use them for cancer patients which is very useful.
- Human embryonic stem cells have a greater potential to develop then adult stem cells.
- Stem cell research is good, because everyday it's growing. In the future researchers anticipate on being able to use technologies derived from stem cell research to treat a wider variety of diseases including, Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injuries, muscle damage, and cancer which can be cured with the belief and support of the people in your society.
